Surprisingly good.Parking lot could stand to be repaved and the spots are a bit cramped, but I find that many places down here suffer from the same problem.The inside looks a bit beat up with tape on some of the chairs holding them together. If you make it past those two things and can sit down to get your order taken, then it's well worth it. The breakfast reminds me of waffle house, only 100x better.The menu changes and the specials are just that, special. I've yet to have a bad meal here.The wait staff are all very kind and attentive, even when there is a line out the door. The entire place has a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.It's too bad that they have limited hours they are open, or I would definitely come in more often!

This is a diner is such as a Hometown Diner should be.Yeah prices seem to be creeping up but it doesn't look like the place has changed in decades. There is an older crowd there but no problem with young adults to middle-aged crowd either.There are definitely the regulars but even as new patrons the wait staff is really polite and makes you want to be a regular.

Discusting service sucks and a roach fell on my head and food was horrible. I do not ever recommend this restaurant ever.

My first experience here, and it was amazing! Great food, large portions, affordable. Staff is friendly, informative, and attentive. You must try the biscuits and gravy. Exceptional. I will be back!

Went with mom for Saturday breakfast. Neither of us had eaten there in 20-30 yrs. Was decent. No complaints. Used to be better though when l was a kid. Biscuit was good. Had "Ray's Bowl" or something to that effect... Basically loaded hash browns... It was decent. Pretty pricey though. Next time will probably have biscuits and gravy. They looked really good.

None not good food was nasty .waitress wasnt friendly the bathroom's are outside. There dead roaches on the floors and a live roach feel on me just before my food was delivered. Its was done right yucky. I'm never ever going back. It was so badly that I hated paying for the food. But my bf and had already ordered so it was to late to walk out. Do not eat here ever . How do u not know that there are bugs in your food.

I loved this place. The owners the best people your ever going to meet. The food is phenomenal. They have a great system so your food is out fast and fresh everyday. You want comfort food and a friendly atmosphere, you can't go wrong here. I worked here and ate nearly everything on the menu or at least tasted it and it's incredible. Big portions and fast service. Sometimes even faster than fast food joints. So why go to those?? Go eat at Ray's. The best place to eat in Alabama!!

We enjoy eating here when we can. Great parking. Excellent food. Even when they are busy they make time to make you feel like family and not just another table. It's always clean, friendly and a great atmosphere.

This place feels like folks have gathered here for bacon and eggs, biscuits and grits for many decades. Fantastic service and good afordable food.

Great home style country food, cooked fresh daily. Great hand pattied hamburgers and homecut fries. But, this little place is better known for the nearly 50 years of serving the Best Breakfast in town. And it's also a local hangout (The Table of Knowledge) to find out what's happening in Dothan and surrounding towns and the state as locals seem to have the "Knowledge"

They are good home cooked meals. Friendly staff. Quick service. We eat there for breakfast occasionally and it's very good too, but mostly at lunch 2 to 3 times a week. Occasionally more.

I was honored to have breakfast with my family at the "table of knowledge" before my wedding. We may not have brought our work boots, but we certainly brought our appetites. The food was delicious and our waitress was full of southern charm. Thank you Ray's for everything you are and God Bless America!

This place is the heart and soul of Dothan. Great food but better gossip. Dwight Eisenhower planned the invasion of Sardinia here. Well, not really but he'd have gotten good advice if he had.

Great little "hole in the wall" place to eat. Waitresses and staff are sweet as pie. The food is homemade and delicious!

Just love Rays! It is a small little restaurant that serves lots of different things. Their cheese grits are amazing! If you go there, you must try their cheeseburger. They also have great fries too. Nice cozy atmosphere. Anyone is welcome but especially Alabama fans!!

This place epitomizes small town diner in the best possible way. The food is simple and delicious. This is the kind of place where the older guys come and spend the morning eating biscuits and gravy, drink coffee, and talk fishing and football. The staff couldn't be friendlier. Definitely worth getting off the circle for if you're passing through town or with the wait if they're a little busy, especially right now with limited seating due to Covid-19.

We eat there 4 or 5 times a month. The food is always good and the service is some of the best in town. Only restaurant that I have been to that makes sure you always have a full drink togo.
